The player should run normally with NVDA running, as did its previous (2) version. With no screen reader running or with Narrator running, launch the player again. Most likely, the player will crash seconds after it has been launched. With the "next" snapshot of NVDA running, launch the player.Download and install Daum PotPlayer from here.Daum PotPlayer can be downloaded from here: Interestingly enough however, I can easily reproduce the issue on my Windows 8.1 64-bit machine running the latest "next" snapshot of NVDA, but not on my Windows 7 32-bit machine running the latest stable version of NVDA (2014.4). I think the crashes are related to some new accessibility features that the developers of Daum PotPlayer have introduced in the last version. Please let me know if you require the memory dump file and I'll upload it to Dropbox and give you a link here to download it (it is too big for attaching it here). I can create such a file by not activating the "Close program" button after the crash, but instead going to the Windows Task Manager, selecting Daum PotPlayer from the list of running applications and choosing "Create a memory dump file" from its context menu. I can provide you with a memory dump file from the player's crash, if needs be. Actually, sometimes it crashes even with JAWS, but it is very rarely and at least not immediately upon starting the player. This happens only with NVDA – can't reproduce it with Narrator or JAWS (witch other screen readers I have) or with no screen reader running. As soon as I launch Daum PotPlayer, with NVDA running, Daum PotPlayer will crash with the standard “Daum PotPlayer has stopped working…” error message from Windows and the only option to close the program. But since then, I've started encountering constant crashes of the application, even on start, with NVDA running. I've updated my copy of Daum PotPlayer to the latest version (0).
